Prof. Mirutse Giday is Natural Products Database Lead at CDT Africa and an academic staff member of the Aklilu Lemma Institute of Pathobiology (ALIPB), Addis Ababa University. Prof. Mirutse has PhD in botanical sciences from Addis Ababa University, MSc in biodiversity management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and BSc in biology from Addis Ababa University. At AAU, he has more than 20 years of teaching and research experiences. His research interest is in the areas of ethnothobotany/ethnopharmacology and biodiversity management. Prof. Giday is currently serving the ALIPB as Head of Endod and Other medicinal plants research unit and runs a number of projects related to ethnobotany and medicinal plant research. He had been Director of the ALIPB. Prof. Giday has published several articles in reputable scientific journals.
