ProfileDr. Fozia Ali is a post doc researcher at Centre for Innovative Drug Development and Therapeutic Trials for Africa (CDT-Africa) in the area of drug discovery for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). She was a visiting scientist at International Center for Chemical and Biological Science (ICCBS) (Pakistan), Johannes Gothenburg University (Germany), Potsdam University (Germany), Gothenburg University (Sweden) and Saarland University (Germany).

Areas of Expertise: Dr. Fozia is an Organic and Natural Product Chemist working on NTDs drug discovery research. She has background in isolation, structural elucidation, and structural derivatization of bioactive natural compounds.

Academic Background: Dr. Fozia has BSc in Chemistry from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia; MSc and PhD in Organic and Natural Product Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, Kenya under German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) scholarship.

Current Position: Dr. Fozia Ali is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at CDT-Africa, Addis Ababa University and Brighton & Sussex Medical School (BSMS).
